here is the problem, they are not working class they are new sub-class who can’t and won’t work, useless to the max and want “respect” via force. I wish people would stop referring chavs as working class as they never worked a day in their lives, to them work is going to the job centre and I am surprised they have the ability to get of their lazy asses to the job centre. We pay for their “rights” to kill, assault and rob us and what’s their “excuse”?, because they are “poor” and “bored”. They are poor but they can buy a heavily customised shit box of a “car”, buy guns and buy drugs which we pay for, mother fuckers there are people who live in plastic and bamboo shelters who have nothing and these so called human beings have the audacity to say they are poor. I don’t give a shit if some prickish Guardianista starts calling me a “bigot” or a “fascist”, the fact that they have to call me names shows they can’t refute the truth. They should put down the champagne, get out of Mill Hill and take a guilt trip to a council estate and see how the real people they claim represent live with Council Housed and Vile people.

Yes give them something to do but buying the latest sporting equipment would only go and make them steal it and give to their “mates” or sell it for drugs. They need to be trained in a vocation and given real prospect for work, and employers have to give priority for workers from the UK not workers from overseas, the UK government should stop foreign companies buying our businesses and export production. Look what happened to Rover and Terry’s chocolate, and I fear Cadbury’s would have their production exported overseas as well. What did this so called “peoples party” we have government do to stop it? nothing, so much for being the party of workers but instead of being the party of incompetent wankers.

I think that all working class teenagers who think it’s their right to abuse other’s rights via intimidation, rude verbal and physical behaviour aimed at pedestrians, as they pass by in their cars and general disturbance of what could be a peaceful society… should be told to serve unpaid education/work of some sort… SO THEY CAN GET A LIFE and stop bothering everyone else!

You’ll have to forgive me for that article – it was written at a time when I was more interested in writing for the sake of writing.

But in my defence, you do not derive from my definition of street scum from your description. I have all respect for those who have lived harsh lives, but the people I describe here are very well to do.

The picture you have created of street scum is very narrow minded. I myself derived from street scum and not as a collective, simply in the singular. I did not dress as demonstated in your photos, more punk style and slept rough behind a wall in one of the most prestigious towns in Surrey.
